Pressurised water-tight light shaft installation
Installing light shafts and extension elements in a pressurised watertight manner
For pressurised water-tight installation, a distinction is made between installation on a white and black tank. The Profix (installation using a mounting rail set) and Dichtfix (installation using mounting screws) systems are available for installation on white trays. For installation on a black bathtub, the stainless steel mounting rails can be used in combination with the sealing material on the wall (usually bitumen thick coating).
System ACO Profix (swellable sealant)
- Active sealant
- Adhesive
- Easy to apply
- Tested tightness
- Installation substrates:
- WU concrete
- concrete
System Dichtfix (rubber tape)
- Adhesive
- Passive sealant
- Inexpensive solution
- Tested tightness
- Installation substrates:
- WU concrete
- concrete
System ACO Therm® Block (light shaft installation panel)
- thermal bridge free light well installation
- freely positionable light shaft
- Finished surface
- plastering and painting in the light shaft is not necessary
- (The building seal ACO Aqua Blocker for pressure water-tight installation of the ACO Therm Block is approved by the building authorities in accordance with DIN 18533 and therefore does not have to be contractually accepted by the building owner).
Pressurised water-tight installation of ACO extension elements
Advice
- Only fixed extension elements can be used
- A maximum of 2 fixed extension elements can be used
- Prerequisite for the pressurised water-tight installation of extension elements is the pressurised water-tight light well installation using ACO Dichtfix
- Only the sizes 1000 x 1000 x 600 (Art. No. 375000), 1000 x 1300 x 600 (Art. No. 375001) and 1250 x 1300 x 600 (Art. No. 375002) can be used as pressurised water-tight light shafts
- The installation can be carried out on ACO Therm® Block in the pressurised water-tight version or directly on a concrete wall
- The fixed extension elements must be clicked together
